Activate Action Group on specific stages?

I was thinkering around the action group area and I was wondering if you could create "custom" stages based on part actions, like deploy solar panel on stage 3, or decouple node at stage 1, There is a "stage" on action groups but all it does is activate in the very first stage

judging by your response I guess It isn't doable in the stock game, (making specific actions stage-able)

You can assign, lets say, Decouple so-and-so, activate so-and-so engine, and deploy pannel in the same action group, 1-0. You just have to put your one non-stage action in the action group with the staging you wanted to go with it.

I have tried and failed to find this in stock. I don't think it's implemented yet, but I would like either:

- What you suggest, tying actions to stages so I can manipulate during flight.

or

- Be able to adjust action groups in flight.

I think there are mods for both of these, but stock doesn't seem to do it.

It still works, but AGM (Action Group Manager, Link above) works much better.

The 5th of the Horsemen found it interfering with stored experiments in some way though.
