Am I understanding this correctly? Mission to capture an asteroid?

You do know that the number has no relation to the date, right?

So I just made 2 new careers.

And I can confirm, that all the planetary positions are exactly the same on Year 1, Day 1 of all careers.

Therefor, they all start on the same date.

If Space Travel is such a huge thing to kerbals, they could divide history into "before space travel" and "after space travel",

like in Star Trek how they started using stardates for future history after the discovery of the warp drive/first contact.

Whack, does this having anything to do with your:

"My dream is to build a planet, . . . and to land that planet on another planet." Line which i cannot find anywhere?

I think what I'd said was, "I want to build a planet. Then I want to launch that planet and dock with another planet. Then I will land that planet with the docked planet on another planet."

And sure, why not. I'd love to have a minor planetary body on the surface of Kerbin as the most Kerbish of all trophies.

How about an asteroid you can build a base on (or in it), then use it to visit other worlds... the ultimate space ship...

:)

Not really. Fine regolith gets everywhere. Everywhere. Think of all the places you don't want regolith to go. And that's where it'll go.
