The GRiDPad- Lets you stay away from the Apple vs Android argument

Runs MS-DOS. Thats what was used for the longest time for the USAF satellite operations planning room at Schreiver AFB (until they upgraded to Windows XP over last summer).

And it looks cool.

I have a very simple answer: my 2010 1st gen iPad runs better than an Asus android tablet released in 2013, how's that?

Yes a 2010 tablet beats a 2013 android tablet easily, which is why I chose Apple not cheap Samsung.

Wait what?

Anyway, I don't have tons of money to spend on overpriced stuff. Apple's stuff is fine, but it's too expensive, and a fairly large chunk of that price comes "because reasons" and sheer brand. It's too darn expensive, and all of these things are assembled by poor Chinese workers that sometimes commit suicide (the infamous safety nets, remember?) because of the stress.

the cpu was an 80C86, which is only a 16 bit processor which ran at 10 mhz. it came with 1mb/2mb ram. storage was with battery backed ram in 256kb/512kb cards. screen was a monochrome 640x400 cga display. you could probibly play elite on it.

i still want one. its probibly a collectors item at this point there isnt even one on ebay.

For reading books, the Kindle is better and it's not even close. Try reading a book for 3hrs using an iPad screen...and then do the same using a Kindle. iPads cause more eyestrain.

So it comes down to what you'll be using your pad for the most. If it's reading books, go with a Kindle. If it's a mix of light reading, browsing the web and watching Youtube videos, pick an iPad.

I got a Kindle for reading and an Android tablet for everything else.
