I've been messing around with sending different Kerbals on missions and I am wondering if they learn as they go? It states that they have Courage and Stupidity. Does that ever change, or am I stuck with the same cowardly and stupid ones?

As the game develops, Kerbals will have the ability to gain experience, but for right now, those traits are dummies and the only thing they affect is the facial expressions of the crew.
