I just happened to capture Minmus in a pic from Kerbin

I really like the picture even though I took it with a quick snap. Irl about a month ago if you got up at the right time of day you could see Jupiter shine like a star in the sky just like in that image. Jupiter actually was seen easyier than the north star noted by some people.

It doesn't really line up with the orbital map (taken a mere 5-10 seconds later without time warp)

I think it does line up, if you take perspective into account. Incidentally, try looking at it through a ship's window and use the zoom function.

I did that. I don't have an image for it, so you will have to take my word for it. The Mun is still on the left & Minmus on the right. Opposite true for orbital view

on that orbital view look at the mun relative to ksc. its closer to the horizon than minmus is. orbital pic does match up.

For some inexplicable reason, lots of people think that Polaris is "the brightest star of them all". It's not. It's actually not impressive at all. Sirius is the brightest and looks beautiful. Jupiter is brighter, Venus even more.
