Error with quad adapter

Recommended Posts

Hey kerbonauts fellows :)

I was making a kind of Soyuz copy today and I put 4 main engines ( LV-45 ) and around it 4 fuel tanks with quad adapters each space containing a LV-30 engine. When I detached the 4 fuel tanks on the side, the quad adapters from the " support " engines crashed with the main quad adaptor. However the parts didn't even touched themselves  I tried to put instead of a quad adaptor in the middle, put a single engine, but the quad adaptors from the sides still crashed themselves whit the middle engine. Same problems, they didn't even touched :/

Did someone else experienced this ? Any tips ? Thanks

Yes, I too have had some incidents involving the quad adapter that made me go "what, why, what the hell happened and oh jeez"! I can't recall specifics, but don't try putting 4 LVN-1's into a quad. Results are not pretty! I'm not a perfect rocket designer, nor do I understand how the parts are coded and implemented into the game, but there is something "hinky" going on with that part!

LV-Ns in quad adapter are fine, they overheat a bit but never exploded for me. And if your problem was that their shrouds were crashing to other engines then all it takes is to rotate them diagonally so they collide with each other rather than with other engines.

I too have problems understanding OP's description, though.
