Best under $150 joystick for KSP

The ambidextrous Thrustmaster T.16000M was found to have excellent features.

This stick uses "Exclusive precision technology: H.E.A.R.T.– HALLEFFECT ACCURATE TECHNOLOGY™ !" That means no deadzones from potentiometers wearing out and very accurate precision.

I wanted to use both sticks just like the kerbals use on EVA. With both plugged the names are the same in hardware manager and the buttons are duplicated but the axis are not.

Maybe joystick support will be improved with the next update.

Overall this joystick is pretty decent. The grip is comfortable and button placement is fine. Just place some black tape over the annoying green centre light or open it and disable the LEDs.

Priced at Amazon for $44

I use a Saitek X-52 ... not for KSP (I don´t use any joystick for KSP) ... but for any Plane- or Space-Simulation where I think a HOTAS necessary (for example Elite: Dangerous, or DCS: A-10C).

There actually is a Pro-Version of the Joystick ... nbut aside from the programmable display and some sturdier there is no difference to the normal version ... IMHO a little bit too much price difference between Pro and normal version "just" or these features ... and I am completely satisfied with the normal version

I'm using a Microsoft SidWinder Joystick. It's cheap, and isn't feature packed, but it works. Here's a pic:

It has trigger, three buttons on top of the joystick, four buttons on the base, and a throttle. No twist though, so it wouldn't work well for you.

I am thinking about upgrading to the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.
