Project "Muddaship" (Modded)

Silly name, huh?

Hi everyone! I'd like to show you my best personal achievement in Kerbal Space Program! I've been playing for about 6 months, and discovered the forums a while ago. Moving on, project "Muddaship" is my first Mothership in KSP. I use a bunch of mods, I think it is much more fun and exciting. Even if I have 3000 Isp :sticktongue: and a couple dozens of tons as a main engine. (I'm sorry f anyone used that name already on something on the forums, I probably took the idea from somewhere but I can't exactly remember or be sure)

I'm sorry I don't have fotos of all the process, but I was to busy having my mouth wide open. Basically it was my first time landing on the lonely space potato... Dres! And also first interplanetary, no atmosphere landing. So here goes.

Javascript is disabled. View full album

Next stop, either Kerbin or Jool, I have a bit more than half fuel left, but I probably wouldn't be able to return from Jool if I landed anywhere.

The mods I used are:

DMagic Orbital Science

B9 Aerospace

KW Rocketry

LLL (for most of the craft, and the engines)

Spherical and Toroidal tanks pack

MechJeb

Kerbal Attachment System

Kerbal Alarm Clock

Again, I like mods :) A lot.

Please tell me what you think!

That is very cool. Which one of the mods has the boxy hull with the windscreen? Very good look.

Feel free to come and build in the year 2070 - at Visions of 2070 in this very fanworks.

The square stuff is LLL. Great pack. I personally don't use it to prevent editor cluttering and obscene load times, but I do love it.

In theory, I could just go and get that single part and load just it? Would that actually work?

In theory, yes. LLL has a handful of parts which require the Vanguard plugin, but the hog cockit isn't one. I also think it's included in Lack's convenient LLL-Lite pack he made to solve the very problem I have.

Glad you liked it :D

By the way, you can install LLL lite (it's in the same thread as full LLL) which has fewer parts, eliminating some of the almost useless ones. I'm thinking of building another mother ship, but that will carry only one lander. I guess it makes more sense, since I would be carrying less wheight. I don't know how I'll achieve that though...

Yeah sure! The semicircles have medium docking ports in the ends (1.25m) and you can attach anything to the sides where the landers currently are. You'd need to gave a small extension on the other ship if you want them to be aligned though.

Super - I am learning about so many cool mods - that might be great for my projects mod list: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/67002-Visions-of-2070/page5

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
