I just want to say 'Hello!'

Hi fellow astronauts!

My english is "so-so", but i would like to send you my greeting form Poland.

As some of you might know, many years ago my country took part in huge USSR space program - Interkosmos. I decided to commemorate this participation by my nick name. :)

I'm suprised that i didn't heard anything about this awsome game before. How could that happen? Now, i'm having a LOT of fun, getting smarter every day, and I do enjoy that Kerbal "learning by doing" state of mind. :) In KSP, opportunities are simply endless.

I play for about week now, but I've already built an enitre serie of very reliable, functional and cool-looking single-stage to orbit airplanes, and also a 36 ton orbital refueling station for them. 1st mission to the Mun is at hand! :)

Anyway, i'm glad I could join this fine community. Fly safe!

Oh, and I might have 1st question to more experienced colleagues:

Is it possible to transfer fuel into ROUND-8 toroidal fuel tank, that is stacked between two larger fuel tanks? As you can well imagine, I can't just click on it to do so... Perhaps, there is some secret shortcut i'm not aware of? :)

well, i can promise you that i will be of no help with that one. And you said more than hello. lol

Your English is good, and your achievements are phenomenal. I've been playing it for almost a year now, but WOW.

I know that if you hold Alt and then right click on tanks you can transfer fuel but i don't know what this Round-8 toroidal fuel tank is Sorry.

Welcome and everyone here is awesome.

Thank you for kind words. :) I was thinking about this little tank:

However, I found quite unusual solution for my problem. I was able to clip camera trough the ship, so i could see (and click) internal fuel tanks. :)

And thanks to this great scientific breaktrough (kind of) I was able to launch my first SSTO plane to Mun (not an easy thing, i spent few hours to learn how to make orbital rendezvous with my refueling station). Well, it did not landed (i have no equipment on board for vertical landing, nor enough oxydizer to make such fuel-consuming and dangerous manouver with main engine), just did a very low pass at about 1000 m above ground level. But since I had good fuel reserve, I decided to try slingshot manouver to Minmus orbit. It worked quite well, I was also able to establish nice, round orbit around this moon (good exercise for future operations). After few circles I decided it's abut time to return home (It was already +10 days expedition and my ship was running on fumes). Return took me only about 24 hours so you can imagine the speed at periapsis. :) I thought i can slow down just like that, after single pass at 60.000 meters... Silly me. Speed was close to 3.500 m/s, so even after emptying all my monopropelant tanks (no more oxidizer at this point) ship went trough upper atmosphere like a hot knife trough butter. :) I did 3 full circles around Kerbin before I was able to slow down enough, reduce my enormous apoapsis and make a proper reentry. :) But of course, my base was at the wrong side of planet, as usual. It was obvious, that even with 200 l of liquid fuel i will not be able to reach it. So, I've landed at some random plot of land and that was it. Misson Complete. :)

And here's our hero: Jebediah Kerman, standing on canard of his space airplane Orzel-7DSE H1HO-V3 model. :) I bet that after 12 days without shower he smells much worse than he looks. :)
