Can crew "crossfeed" through decouplers?

I'm building an appollo style rocket and I have an inline clamp-o-tron and I don't want it to stay attached to my return rocket, so I put a stack decoupler between it and the capsule, but will the crew be able to transfer then?

Nope. Your options are 1) install a mod like Crew Manifest or 2) bite the bullet and jetpack them on over. Having done an Apollo-style mission before, I'll tell you that two EVAs is really not all that bad. Not compared to six anyway.

Sadly, crew transfer even between directly attached parts without EVA is not possible in the stock game. So, decoupler or not, you won't be able to transfer them.

This is something that really needs to be fixed, IMO.

It's not something that needs to be fixed. It was never in the game! But you can still transfer through EVA.

Crew manifest, as mentioned above, is your only option other than to EVA between crewed components - regardless of how they are attached to each other.

It would be nice if Squad would develop the "ability" to transfer Kerbals between directly attached (inline) habitable modules, as well as specialized radial habitable modules. Such would not allow a Kerbal to transit through things like fuel tanks, etc.

It's not something that needs to be fixed. It was never in the game! But you can still transfer through EVA.

You're right, poor word choice on my part. It's something that should be added, IMO. EVA transfers shouldn't be necessary for directly connected modules or docked modules.
