Importing crafts from sandbox to career?

So, I was playing KSP a while ago and now I gave career mode a shot in the new(er) version.

I've unlocked most science thingies and get an idea: to import my old crafts.

I failed.

So I started playing with the idea.

Parts can be invalid because sciences yet to unlock so I edited the max science points and unlocked everything but still nothing.

(I've tried both import-first, unlock-later and unlock-first, import-later ways to see if there's a change, there is none.)

I've started another sandbox mode and tried to import the ships there to see if the difference in the two versions are at fault but I succeded -the saves are not corrupt.

And so I ran out of ideas and decided to turn to you for ideas (for I failed to find anything useful on the net), I have some pretty big and complex crafts I would not like to rebuild.

I had no problems importing sandbox crafts in career, if I had appropriate tech it worked. Maybe try to open and save them in current sandbox to convert the file to new format and then open the new save in career.

Already done that, I've imported the 0.21 sandbox saves into my 0.23 sandbox profile, it worked, but I can not import them in career mode. I have this profile I'm "playing with", I have unlocked all tech yet I can not load the crafts, saying something like 'invalid part or missing tech' but it's neither. Anyway, thank you.

What do you mean when you say "I failed" to transfer the ships? Do they not show up, or not work when they do show up, or what?

Did you transfer the .craft files over?

Otherwise, if you tried to transfer craft IN SPACE, they get deleted if the parts are invalid when first loaded up.

I failed the attempt of importing the crafts (copying the .craft files from the sandbox's Ships folder to the career's Ships folder). The crafts show up but it says "Contains locked or invalid parts", while this statement is false: parts are neither locked, nor invalid. I deleted no mod, nor changed anything, I am able to load and launch them in sandbox mode but not in career mode.
