I used seven chutes at the end of the decent and still blew out 4 of the 6 tires. Good thing the Kerbalnots can fix them. It's pretty challenging as is! The ground is a bit soft but doesn't seem to bother the rover. This is a great planet, don't change it!

That's what I had in mind when I made it, very very thin atmosphere, the chutes will only slow you down a bit, drouges are quite handy in this one as well due to the fact they open earlier and with less pressure. You might even manage to use them for aerobraking if you find the right spot to skim over the surface.

The atmosphere does have some oxygen in it, so that's a possibility for a jet return vessel.

You basically can turn sideways right after launch and build up speed until you run out of atmosphere, or you slam into a mountain. (The atmospheric pressure gives out well before the mountains do usually)

The orbit it is in now makes it more challenging. You should leave it...

Are you done editing Natacha? If so that planet is next on my list, it looks fantastic! But if you are changing the orbits I will wait.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
