Hi guys.

Im looking to add to the small list of mods i have. i would like the kethane mine by Majiir but after looking around i see there are a lot of other mods that go hand in hand with it. like the scanning mods and terrain scanner also someone was talking about a mod that already mines that work really good with this one.

My problem is i load Spaceport see all the cool mod add 10 in one go brake my game and have to delete and reload. cant help myself i think ive got a problem.

So im looking for Kethane 0.8.4 add-ons i think.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Rick

Kerbal Space Program is a 32 bit process meaning it can only hold up to 8 gigabytes I think. What mods do you have? And how many save files? Deleting some old saves, crash reports, moving screenshots out of the KSP folder, old backups, and using the reduced textures included in a lot of mods can help save space.

You should keep an eye on outdated mods on spaceport, they might not be working with the current KSP version or generally unmaintained for bugs/incompatibilities. If you find something ask google ' KSP forum modname ' and see if there is a thread and maybe an alternative link to a newer version.

If you are installing lots of mods with new textures (mostly new parts, but also texture replacement mods), you should take a look at

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-23-Release-2-15-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM-without-reduction-packs!

which generally reduces the space textures take up in RAM and

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/51361-0-23-Squad-Texture-Reduction-Pack-B9-and-KW-Packs-also

which has textures that use up less RAM by themselves.

Only install the packs for the mods you are using though, as KSP loads every texture under gamedata, regardless if it is used by anything or not.

I honestly see no reason why saves or screenshots should have a negative impact on performance.

Install some mods (=many files), taking screenshots and keeping many vehicles add more files, more profiles/saves means also more files and we might reach a point where disk fragmentation comes into play if others files are removed, all of this in a regular basis. So performances are likely to decrease with time. It even might be worth if filesystem chunk size is smaller than the average file size (especially screenshots).

A little less than 4

No meaningful effect once the game is started.

, and using the reduced textures included in a lot of mods can help save space.

Use rbay addon to compress texture. Work as well and easier.
