Thanks Albert! That helped a lot. One more question (sorry) :S I can grab the velcro bags and the PRTs, but I can't fill up the bags with resources and the only thing that goes into the PRTs is water. How to fix?

EDIT: OK, never mind. I found the controls in the action groups tab. :S Thanks for the help

Will you be including ones that contain, say lf, ox, xenon, or batteries? Maybe some ones that are radioactive and glow for RTG status.
Carrying LF/Ox in a zip-up bag seems like a terrible idea.

I use the HexCans for this purpose.

I am sure Jeb would think this is a perfectly acceptable practice. :D

I have to agree With Roxette :P

Intentional Double Post:

Here you go, there are a lot of mistakes on my quick guide, I am truly sorry.

Here is the No-MFT version.

I also tried to add a description. Just see if it's lame enough. :)

Might want to look at it also Albert, Something is better than nothing :P

Do you realize these will never be released?

... Have I made my point?

  • 3 weeks later...

CTB might have a release soon without the MFT but with an other plugin.

Edit: What would you guys prefer a non-MFT version; another plugin or separate parts?

Welcome.

I have a problem. Mod is installed correctly. Containers can be installed but only works PRT and may be in it just water. I can change the texture but it does not work.

Let's do something to be able to edit all possible substances?

hmm since no one answered my original question from April so i might as well just ask this then...

will there be a smaller version of the cargo bags and tanks that are present because i always felt that they were too big to be carried like they are on kerbals so just wondering...

Looking good. Especially balloons. But I would like to give advice on their colors scheme: Oxigen - Light blue or skyblue (like oxidizer currently); CO2 - is ok; Water - is ok; Waste water - may be toxic green; Liquid fuel - must be more red (like Firetrucks); Oxidizer - must be dark blue but not very dark; Monopropellen - is good, but for matching design is good to be more darken. Green color is for Food.

European standard for pipelines have this colors: Gases, Fire Fightings, Other liquids, Airs, Waters, Combustible liquids, Acids and Alkalis, Steams. Recommend sticking to this standard, but given the color-coded subsections. As a result, the marking shall consist of a primary color and complementary color stripe. That is, the style of the cylinders can be left as he is, but to the color from top and bottom need to add a strip at a distance of the width of the strip itself or half.

In accordance with European color codes and its subdivision color-codes, we get something like this: Oxygen -strip, CO2 - strip, Water - strip, Waste water - strip, Liquid fuel - strip, Oxidizer - strip, Monoprpellen - strip, Food - strip.

Russian standard for pipelines have this colors: Waters, Steams, Airs, Combustible and non-combustible Gases, Acids, Alkalis, Combustible and non-combustible liquids, Other substances (like pudres, gels, pulps)

Also I sugest to see this wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottled_gas but russian version have colors schemes...

Another Italian standard http://www.siad.com/russia/docs/colore_bombole_gas_industriali_uk.pdf

Well, we're not only basing on real-life, KSP customs/standards too! Haha Though

Combustible and non-combustible Gases really burnt my eye there.

Since MF conflicted with my PP liquid fuel tanks I decided to create my own subset of cargo bags (I don't want or need the 49 possible combinations Albert mentioned) which don't require MF.

Important: I took Albert's models and blackheart's textures, messed around with them (most probably to the worse) but did not created anything myself, all credits to them for their amazing work! @both of you: if you don't want to see my version here tell me and I'll remove the link asap!

What I did:

  • made all parts half the size and half capacity (all have 125 for simplicity)
  • tanks contain only one resource (both tanks have the same texture and content)
  • if there is a waste resource available (e.g. Food and Waste) the tank can hold that too (like the other TACLS containers)
  • made the tanks more colorful because Jeb told me he could find them easier under his bed that way

There is only a small subset available (separate parts):

  • Food Bag
  • Water Bag
  • Oxygen Tank
  • Fuel Tank (contains LiquidFuel and Oxizider in the proper 9:11 ratio)
  • MP Tank

If anybody wants to look at the parts: Download

No problem.

How about, for a non-MFT version, the PRT gets split into a tank holder part and 7 different types of tanks?

Thanks!

I suppose you are thinking about something like the KAS container holder? Sounds awesome!

So, I just thought I would share a thing I am doing with these excellent parts. I am welding together a utility module which I will use on both my minmus base and orbital station for storing life support supplies.

Thanks for the good work!
