Hi everyone,

I've been searching for the UFO in Kerbin but can't seem to find it. I visited the exact location coordinates specified here: without any luck. Any ideas on the whereabouts of the ufo?

Are you sure you're searching in the correct location? From a low flying plane it is easily spotted as it stands out pretty clearly against the white background.

If you want an ingame solution, look into mods.

The SCANsat addon is very lightweight and gives you the ability to launch satellites into orbit around any celestial body you want in order to construct maps of them. The altimetry map (available in both low-res and high-res) gives you elevation levels and slopes; the biome map shows you what biomes are there. However, the biome map scanner conveniently also happens to point out anomalies, marking them with an X. This helps you land a vessel at the exact location (make sure the vessel is equipped with a MapTraq unit so it can access the satellite map).

Finally, the addon also includes one last short-range scanner which, when brought within a kilometer or two of a previously detected anomaly, will change the map marker to reveal what it is and that you have visited it. A great way to keep track of what you have not yet seen.

SCANsat probes keep mapmaking even when not the active vessel (so long as you don't mount other mod scanners on it that don't have that ability), so it's recommended to send them everywhere ahead of your manned flights. By the time the Kerbals arrive, they will have a nice map waiting for them.

Has anyone been no Monolith01 before? It's in the mountains just north of KSP, I've been searching for it for ages but can't find it!

Can anybody help? I've tried looking for videos on youtube nd everything but no luck, I'm at the coordinates given but nothing, is it underground? is it gone?

theres a monolith just north of the runway, go about 3/4 to the end of the runway, then go north, its on the spot of land between the water and the runway

Are you talking about the one inside the crater? It's slightly underground and on the side of the crater wall. You can see just a corner of it sticking out. I have a pic of it but I'm not at home right now.

The first time I went to the ufo on Kerbin it was underground too. After chasing the terrain detail settings it is back above ground.....

I'm at the location given but can't see anything? tried doing a scan too with my SCANsat but nothing? I dunno is it supposed to be in a crater? It's the Anomaly west of KSC.

The one Directly west of KSC is considered part of KSC.

sorry i thought we were talking about the one a ways north of KSC. its inside a crater and burried. The one directly west of KSC, in the mountains i've not been able to find. I read online that it is floating way up in the sky but i've had no luck spotting it. i should revisit that and see if i can capture a screen of it. If you end up finding it i would appreciate a picture!!!!
