Duna Meet Up

What ship design would be able to meet craft in orbit around Duna ?? No docking port... EVA /jitters...

If I add 10% more fuel & 3 kerbal pod, will that 2nd spcecraft get back (safely) ??

Thanks, that is what I meant.

10% would be a bit on the low side, the rescue ship has to sync up its orbit with the lander before an attempt is made to eva onto the rescue ship. The Design is up to you. As long as you bring enough fuel to get them back.

Look for ways to really trim weight on your rescue vehicle. Like ditching the legs and ladders. Ditch RCS too if you are comfortable enough with rendezvous to get close. It would also be less mass to use a second Mk-1 pod than the three man capsule.
