"Fuel Other Ship"

Would be nice to do this:

Dock to ship "A" with ship "B".

Now tell ship "B" to transfer all fuel from one canister into ship "A".

If you want to make it hard - make it uneven...

But lately when building large ships in space, its very choppy to have to click on each individual fuel tank to refuel it. Would be nice to be able to get the fuel up there and then just push it to the other ship.

You can already do that as you know, by selecting the two tanks.

Problem being, I don't think there's a way for the game to recognize what ship A and B used to be once docked.

Much like Stargate525 said, when you dock, the 2 ships are made into one, with no differences from a ship built pre-docked in the VAB.

Technically, it could be done through the docking port. Click on the docking port and select to refuel one side of it using fuel from the other side of it. But I still see many cases when this would be hard to implement right. There's either too much fuel on one side or too little fuel on the other side and then how to distribute the load? Some people would also probably find counterintuitive than when multi-docking, only one port provides that functions.

I think that this should also work for xenon and monopropellant.

(Moving xenon is very anoying if you have lots of it)

Why not just use TAC Fuel Balancer?

Never tried it as I thought it was just for drawing from multiple tanks simultaneously to keep CoM the same. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.

I'm currently using a kethane-based fuel tanker precisely for this reason. When you turn on the converter, the tanker starts automatically filling all fuel tanks it can access. If you are using fuel lines, you still have to fill some of the tanks manually, but otherwise the process works pretty well.

+1 = Yes! Sometimes the transfer just takes forever.

Big ships are just some people's style.

It would be nice for transfers to continue out of direct focus, though. Doing one transfer at a time can be sort of a pain.

Because it is a mod? and this seems to be a suggestion for the stock game.

Would be interesting if you could see your center of thrust and center of mass in space, that way you could potentially balance out none symmetrical ships in flight by moving fuel.
