Literally all I could think of when the guys told me about that feature of the claw. 'Man, everyone's gonna get gasjacked when we get multiplayer out.'

So I hope this claw will come at the end of a robotic arm, though I doubt it. If it did, it'd be awesome for station building.

It would also be awesome for collecting samples and depositing them into a container for analysis or sample return.

All sizes are 1.25x bigger in meters. .5, 1, 2, and 3 sizes are all .625, 1.25, 2.5, and 3.75 meters in diameter, respectively.

Interesting note, size 4 will be 5 meters. Confusing, isn't it? I would prefer that sizes were in meters. But for whatever reason they decided that everything needed to be 25% bigger.

Always note that when talking size, there is no unit, whereas if you refer to diameter, always include the unit, meter (m).

So it's size 3, which is 3.75m. They mean the same thing.

We'd have to or else we couldn't make a SLS! The 1.25m boosters are already underpowered on 2.5m rockets let alone 3.75m ones.

I'm surprised Felipe was so surprised by the way mass scales with size (@21 mins) - presuming uniform density, mass scales with the cube of the linear size.

Then you start considering different densities (and also iron v silicate v carbonaceous asteroids, and those with partially differentiated composition), it can get even more variable.

Maybe the current underpowered ones will get some kind of improvement as well. Either they need more power or longer burn times.

Also, the 23.1 update will be another big boon to space shuttles if we do get SLS style SRBs, since they're derived from the shuttle. That might also mean SRBs with gimbal, like the real thing. And we can use the new size 3 tanks for the external fuel tank. Exciting possibilities!
