Wow this looks awesome. Quick questions, sorry if the answers were somewhere and I missed them.

Is kethane still required? Will Karbonite work instead?

Can I get the resources from interstellar's system, instead of either of those? (It feels less hashish than "magic mineral you can transform into anything."

Kethane is no longer supported, we use ORS (same as Karbonite and KSPI).

You need to get the resources via ORS. Use of Karbonite is optional.

Thanks! I think I wasn't clear in my second question, though - for actually getting the resources in-game, can I use the extraction stuff from Interstellar for water, etc, or do I need to use Karbonite to get the actual stuff?

You need to use MKS stuff ;) Interstellar does not extract Ore, Minerals, Water, or Substrate. MKS does.

OK. So I've scoured the forums some, but don't think I've seen anything that solves my issue.

Here is what I have.

KSP 24.2 - just downloaded a fresh copy yesterday. Removed ALL traces of old KSP and mods.

KAS v0.4.7 - appears to be for 23, but seems to work ok.

Ship Manifest - .24.0.3

Tac LS - 0.9

Karbonite

ScanSAT v7

MKS 0.19.3

MechJeb2

I tried to assemble a base on Kerbin just so I could get the hang of how things are supposed to work. I can begin assembling the modules, but soon as I get the required pieces together, there seems to be an animation that tries to happen. It freezes up at some point, but still allows me to go to Map, or Esc to Space Center. Go to Space Center and go to 'Fly' my newly constructed base and it appears to be several meters BELOW the ground level of Kerbin. Sometimes it blows up, sometimes it doesn't.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

This mod looks to take the game to an new level and would really, REALLY love to see it working...

What is the minimum functional requirement for BasicMachinery? I have some on my station (~200 for each module which says it requires basic machinery) but it still says "Insufficient BasicMachinery" on everything and my productivity is 0. :(

it tells you in the VAB when you view the part details and on the wiki. its usually 300

Come on guys. I'm new to the forums, not invisible. Has nobody seen this issue before, or any idea of what might be causing the issue?

So I have a base on the Mun with all of the life support working. I'm getting ready to start with the manufacturing end but have no idea where to start yet and when I go to the wiki that part doesn't seem to be finished yet. I found where it gives you the specs on each pod but nothing on how they work or what they do. If you could give me any kind of direction to start or any help would be great. Oh and you are doing god's work sir. Here's my base.

That would be my guess too. KAS hasnt been updated by Majiir yet, but there are unoffcial DLL's that Somnambulist posted that should correct most problems being experiences with KAS>

That corrected the error at startup regarding the version issue it saw with KAS. Thank you. But did not correct the issue I get with doing final assembly. It seems to be something with the animation that occurs. Is there a way I can shut off the animation?

I really don't have enough info to help you - what animation are you talking about?

And if you're using the expando tubes, never ever ever try to connect two of them together, or drive a ship into one that is armed (they work the other way around).

Hey I was having the same issue with KSPI when the last update came through where anything with a KSPI part would just fall through any planet body it was on. The way I finally fixed it was getting the new version of KSPI and KAS, then doing a fresh install of KSP and KSPI and KAS all together. I know that sounds obvious but just updating the mod didn't work it was the combo of the fresh install that did it. Oh and not running 2 module managers together Lol. It sucks because I lost my save but I think I FINALY have KSP .24 64bit working correctly now. Hope this helps sorry for interrupting. Oh and Rover Dude I posted a question about a phase 2 of MKS when you get the time. Carry on!

Any reason none of the MKS or OKS parts are showing room for life support(Food, water, oxygen)? I have TAC-Life-support installed.

Edit: Some of them are showing room for support like the actual storage modules.

iirc RoverDude doesn't include life support in the part CFGs. If it's being added, it's being added by TAC-LS's module manager CFGs. Are you getting life support resources on stock parts like the Hitchhiker?

I'd guess that's what it is. I will try again being careful not to attach to one that is armed, but rather place and extend the arm to connect.

Hi, i've been trying to set up an OKS base, so i've got a kerbitat and a hab ring (my setup in second picture) and I went to the wiki tutorial to see what i was supposed to do next when i saw that in his pictures in the tutorials(first picture is the picture in question) he has options for composters, something called governor and a button to activate the kerbitat, as well as his containers containing small amounts of food water etc. storage, whearas mine do not. Do I just need to complete the entire station to see these options? or did I mess up my install? or is this just an old feature of OKS?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but off the top of my head, you need an inflatable agricultural module for the composter and habitat to function.

Or am I thinking of the Terraformer?
