So, KSP won the GDC Audience Award

Probably the most prestigious of the awards given at the show considering the judges gave Gone Home one. Curious why the panel of judges is never named in these, as if the awards are given out by some infallible and faceless authority.

I think Rowsdower's message conveys that message, even though he isn't technically in Mexico :)

I was thinking more in terms of the local media.

As I understand it SQUAD hasn't received much attention from them yet.

Seems weird they would give an award to s game that hasn't been officially released

KSP is available to the public and they have to pay for it. These traditionally have been the only 2 criteria of "releasing" software. Therefore, KSP has been released. Given the huge number of games have been "released" very green, sometimes even totally unplayable, I'd also say that KSP is more finished than many "official releases". So on that score, it counts as released, too.

Well deserved :)

And its a lovely hivemind if I may add.

You know, there are communities and communities, especially in gaming. In some you get greeted with "Welcome nub i pwn you, k tnx bye" and in others, well, you can guess.

Been a while since I bumped into such a helpful and positively competitive community.

Somehow KSP voids the formula:

nice person + inet anonymity = complete idiot

The more people know about KSP the better.... and winning gongs does just that!

But does anyone else see an animated movie or weekly show in the future (converted to english of course)...

The Amazing Adventures of Jebediah Kerman IN SPAAAAACE

... and an image of Jeb riding a rocket with a big grin with Bill and Bob behind him grimacing in terror.

To be honest it would be:-

A: Funny

B: Get kids interested in Space

C: Educate them about things like Delta-V and why it isn't safe to do an aerobrake that is 40ft above the ground

D: Fun for both kids AND adults
