77 Industries: MiG-Mirage Mashup With Missiles

Recommended Posts

I like stock but I like stretchies even better. And now with Procedural Parts as the replacement for Stretchy SRB, everything becomes even nicer.

1960's MiG-Mirage Mashup With Missiles

Landing gear goes flush with the fuselage. Flown with FAR and does a good job, don't know how it handles with stock aerodynamics. Easy take-off and landing. Missiles are unguided.

Mods used: Firespitter, Procedural Parts, Procedural Dynamics.

Focke-Wulf FW190 A-8

With bomb. Impressive roll rate, just like the real one. Flaps: action groups 1 & 2.

Mods used: Procedural Dynamics, Procedural Parts, Firespitter, FAR

Fighter with Lancaster engine (Merlin)

Grossly overpowered, this bomber engine fits nice in this airframe. Cannons and machine guns are props, just like in the FW190.

I know the Merlin engine was used in the Spitfire, but this is no Spit.

Mods used: Procedural Dynamics, Procedural Parts, Firespitter, FAR

Soviet style fighter

Looks a bit like a Yak, or IL2. Same airframe as the Lancaster fighter

Mods used: Procedural Dynamics, Procedural Parts, Firespitter, FAR

Heinkel HE111 Zwilling

Used in WW2 as a tug for the giant ME 321 glider. This too is grossly overpowered. Watch out for dynamic pressure while flying at high speed, in the newest FAR.

Mods used: Procedural Dynamics, Procedural Parts, Firespitter, FAR

Flies like a dream!

I made the gear so it would disappear in the fuselage. Alas there exists no sideways deploying gear yet (apart from Firespitter's helicopter gear), so the main gear is very narrow. No problem with taking off, watch out while landing - no side slip and slow descent!

Check fuel level in the rear cone, default is empty. I made it a tank for CoM adjustment.

Mods used: KAX, FAR, Procedural Dynamics, Firespitter, Procedural Parts 0.93 (Add on dev section), Procedural Fairings.

Other stuff, being reworked

Imagine Star Trek was envisioned in the early fifties. What would it look like?

Maybe like this?

A 1950's space station. But without any habitats. They don't fit the rest of the design.

I like this idea, semi-enclosed radial fuel tanks. Think I'll use this in the future.

I used blueprints for this one: my interpretation of a Soyuz FG with TMA spacecraft. Height is around 50 meters, just like the real ones.

You can build the biggest rockets in the history of KSP with Procedural Parts. This one uses only Mansails, is higher than the VAB and weighs 4,8 million kg. Check the Delta-V. Only 401 parts. Sort of personal technology demonstrator. And yes, this was before 0.23.5.

I'm going to rebuild this one. Make it more practical and with lower part count. And include warp engines.

I'm not sure why I built this monster. Some sort of space refuelling station. Huge.

Interested? The .craft files will come online soon.

You might be talking about imgur albums. Just use the [imgur] tags like you would with anything else, but use the imgur album code in between. For example, my album at http://imgur.com/a/ca3A2 would use the code ca3A2 (make sure you do not include anything after it, such as a #0, or some such). This will display an imgur album in your post.

Taildragger Turboprop Monoplane! In the style of the old racers. Except for the turboprop.

Jeb likes it!

Javascript is disabled. View full album

Excellent performance, still able to do loopings and barrel rolls at 50m/s with throttle closed.

Contrary to the believe of some, the easter eggs are not photoshopped.

Spacious cockpit 1930's style. Who needs instruments anyway. Only problem: when Jeb leaves the seat, he's killed by the seat. Weird bug.

Mods used: KAX for the excellent turboprop engine, FAR, TT's start with external seat, procedural parts; and procedural fairings for the cockpit.

Could you give a download for this?

Piaggio! I remember that from FSX... mmm fast plane. Loveley builds!

Thanks, and had a good laugh with your Hyperedit video. It looked like your ship was behaving like an electron moving from one atom to another :)
