Ok, so that was from another member of the team, not me, and he says he made that totally scratch, so either freak coincidence or he saw it and retained a lot of it in passing. If it would cool the waters we could pull it from the line for re-design.

I have a feeling that he copied it just like the original Soviet Atoll missile. Also known as the sidewinder.

You might want to keep an eye on that team member's submissions. If you look closely, you'll see every part down to the tiniest detail is exactly identical. No one here is angry, but at some point that guy will make someone really mad. Best to catch it before that happens.

I'm not mad, but if he copied anything from fallingintoblack... shudders... armageddon.

Yeah, working on it now, not sure how to remove it from the imgur album though... any help?

Unless you have an account... you'll have to delete the old one and create a new album... sorry. Can you link your company? I can't seem to find it. Good luck.

Should be fixed. Sorry everybody, I shall be more vigilant in the future

Oh and yes, the "solid tank" appears elsewhere on the forum. The engineer is the third member of our party, Rexmundo

No worries. I'm embarking on a new project as a long term design process. This is due to my now tight schedule.

COIN Ops have always fascinated me.

I might change my mind.

$27,000 of pure affordable versatility. Simple is usually better. It can achieve high speeds with low thrust. Low thrust also allows for extreme maneuverability along with high payload for multi role combat.

The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly. It also has STOL and can be operated from small maritime aircraft carriers, including most flat surfaces due to its light weight and extremely high TWR ratio.

I don't think funds should matter in battles, if only for the fact that they're pretty much always in sandbox mode saves, and the warships are going to be severely limited in terms of design, armament, and fuel reserves when compared to ships that are built without trying to "cut costs". In real life, the most powerful militaries and defense contractors have immense amounts of funding.

Also, daemon, I'll have a re-start post up soon, with a somewhat smaller scale land battle.

No, it's not that it's about funding, it's more the fact that you're comparing amount of resources needed to make each ship. It levels the feild based on actual cost of a ship, so the lighter ones may be cheaper but also less effective. Large ships that don't try to cut costs will, predictably, be more expensive. That's the tradeoff. Efficiency.

If you're placing your ships second then you can attack when they are all in orbit.

But that is we attack with anything lighter than his craft, as it's turn would go before a heavier one, correct?

I fired four I-beams at the Hydra and managed to hit a weak spot, doing excessive damage, I then reloaded and aimed for the same spot and got the same result.

I managed to destroy the command module every time and managed to obliterate the ship with an SRB.

Also, thanks to 64bit the 956 parts together was no problem.

Anyway, I only took one screenshot after the second hit:

The information that you provide is totally inadequate. What vessel is firing at the Hydra? Where is the weakspot? Also the damage that you have dealt to the Hydra is purely external. Most of the weapons are intact, and the engine cluster is untouched. There is no command module aboard the Hydra. Can you retest this giving me more info?

(Screenshots of the top, bottom, left and right side, and front and back)

(after every single hit)

What weapons you are firing and in what configuration

Where you were aiming and where you hit

What ship (screenie) you used to fire at the Hydra
