Megalodon 720
So I put my ship in the water for the first time and ended up flattening my ekranoplan.
daemonCaptrix
Daemon I'll place my tanks soon. Can I go first?Yes.@Megalodon- Why is everyone making unrealistically massive floating lag machines?@War Eagle- No one has ships weighing 225 t, and for good reason. Megalodon 720
Eye candy, mine is there just to look good. Also, my Temeraire weighs ~210 tons
andrew123
I reduced my heaviest vessels to under 150 tons. My independence is also a surprisingly light ship with part count, even with the weird hull configuration. I also found a way to make naval torpedoes. The concept is quite similar to supercavitating torpedoes.
Megalodon 720
I've been trying to lighten it since it was built, I will keep trying until I get it under 200 tons atleast. Then I will lighten the 204 ton Victory.

Megalodon 720
Wait, both of the aforementioned ships have pretty good range, is making them lighter worth the fuss?
andrew123
I believe that making it lighter could correlate with less parts. That's how I reduced a 700 part destroyer to 360 parts with the weapons attached for space based combat.
Megalodon 720
Both come in at around 400 parts, it doesn't cause any problems for me.
Spartwo
Use your heaviest then~550 vs ~810 do you see where the issues lie.

andrew123
All right. I finally got a working supersonic cruise missile I can stick on a light vessel.Introducing, the Basalt cruise missile. It has a very low rcs signature along with a lightly shielded engine section to reduce heat emissions for ir sensors. It is very accurate and has a range easily exceeding 100 km, and possibly well exceeding 600 km if flown near space. RATO boosters are also used on take off.Javascript is disabled. andrew123
Finally! The LCS Independence can make extremely tight turns at over 32 m/s. Part count with weapons, including advanced cruise missiles, is 400.The trimaran hull really does reduce hydrodynamic drag. Thank you for the R & D, General Dynamics.Javascript is disabled. View full albumOne of the wheels I used to drive into the water got stuck and quickly took off a part of the ship. I was surprised to see it still going after loosing a large part of the internal hull, and it still handled better than any of my other ships!Javascript is disabled. andrew123
Ah yes... We may have discretely developed a 6th gen vtol fighter-bomber...I might actually have to make the jet smaller. I'm not a good enough pilot to land jets accurately in vtol flight mode. The cruise missile is performing admirably. Extreme accuracy mixed in with a huge amount of kinetic energy. The ODIN Prototype. The first model was retired after it proved it actually worked with a single demonstration shot. The Fleet Master
Everybody loved the LOKI probes, they're a point streak online and they're fun to use. I'll probably be taking a break from KSP as I have vacation starting this weekend and I'm starting to play some other games like Skyrim again and Morrowind again.
andrew123
What's sad is the LOKI used by the federation is a nerfed version of the actual ODIN. I want 8 ton tungsten rods, not 800 kg tungsten darts. Also, I used to play mw2. IMO, last cod worth playing until BF3 and BFBC2 came out.
The Fleet Master
The LOKI also operated in swarms. MW2 was the best CoD IMO until hackers over ran the online.
