Honestly, Why is space either something blowing up or being engulfed lol?

Hey guys, I've been reading about sun's red giant phase super novas etc, And to me it seems almost everything in space has something to do with the lines of Exploding, Or Engulfing. Haha, Can someone explain to me why is that it seems whenever something happens in space it's like Engulf or Explode, Take your pick

Well, there's lots of stability in between the dramatic events.

In a nutshell, the dramatic events occur because they lead to a lower energy state, ie less free energy.

the universe spends much of its time doing nothing. it may be dramatic from time to time, but most days its buisness as usual.

Dramatic stuff happens, and at the scale of the universe, when it happens, it's a big thing. As the other said, it doesn't happen often, but since there's so many things to watch, we can look at a lot of them. When dramatic stuff happens, I'm not sure what else than "exploding" or "imploding" could happen, yknow, "car crash" is not on the list of galactical catastrophies The only other thing I can thing of is galactic collision, but that is slow and not so violent on a small scale.

Stuff in a stable state is boring. For example, there are large clouds of cold gas that don't do much, and you don't hear much about them because there's not much to say about them.

Or red dwarfs, the most common type of star in our galaxy, that burn slowly and will not die for trillions of years. The smaller ones won't even go red giant, and will die a slow boring death. As a result, people don't talk too much about them in popular media. Now a humongous hypergiant with only a few million years of life expectancy that will go off in a massive explosion makes for an interesting paper.
