Cornholio
So I started playing right after .22 came out. I put in a bunch of hours in a save, tried some mods, .23 came out, and everything was broken. I have since put HUNDREDS of hours in and am playing with basically all difficulty mods including RT2. I don't want to kill my save and start over as I have so much going. Will .235 break my save? I want to be Bruce Willis.(Is there a way to make my save into a compatible .235 save?)
Pecan
Yes it will. No your mods might not work. There is a thread on converting the save file.TL;DR? Keep your old version and install 0.23.5 as well; enjoy the best of both worlds.
merendel
Some mods broke and were quickly updated, others were just fine. Personaly I had almost no issues with my 23 save after I updated the main ones and tweeked a few things. I'd suggest go to the threads of the mods you use and check for updates or browse the last few days of posts to see if that mod blew up and if theres a fix. Once you update all the broke ones and confirm the others are not broke have at it. I would recomend coppying the save file first though.
lajoswinkler
Just deorbit everything and watch it burn. Clean the whole Kerbol system and delete the save. Start from the scratch. It's a good feeling.
The Destroyer
Wow! It's a future man? How's version 235? We here are stuck on that old patch. You know, the one with old graphics on the "PC" and Asteroids, when NASA existed!
NecroBones
Supposedly some of the problems of importing an old save have been fixed. Dunno if that's true.I'd make a backup of your saves first, then give it a shot. Uninstall Kerbal Joint Reinforcement if you have it (or grab the updated version), otherwise you may have some very explody stuff.
Vanamonde
It shouldn't break a stock save, but there's just no telling how a new version will interact with mods made by third parties. There's simply no way to know which will work and which won't, though chances are good that at least some mods will be broken. Try it and see, but then report your results in the mod forums, since general isn't the proper place for that.
