Um... Something at the Tracking Station is worrying me...

Okay, so first off I need to say that I'm looooving the new SLS parts, though I don't have any in my current career mode yet.

So I was looking at the Tracking Station to track some more dangerous asteroids when I found one that had a "Kerbin Intercept" and a "Kerbin Escape"...

But no Periapsis marker...

Does this mean that it's on a direct collision course with Kerbin? That's the only thing that stymies me about the new ARM. Everything else is just peachy.

Usually, yes. No "Pe" means it's going to hit. However, warp errors and the like sometimes change it a bit before it gets there.

One thing you can do, is once you have it tracked, switch to any vehicle you have in Kerbin's SOI, and select the asteroid as a target, and you'll see it's path through the SOI.

Yep, I knew 3/4 of those things, but I'm an RPer, so I have to know what the missing Periapsis means so I can save my Kerbals from any possible cataclysm (though I know it's still all in my mind :o)

Thanks a million!

no need to switch. While in the tracking station once you've got the asteroid tracked and selected hit backspace to refocus on kerbin. The last asteroid you selected will still show its path so you can zoom in and see the path through the SOI.

Emergency Colony to Laythe, Kerbin is doomed!

Not even Bruce Will'Kermin can save you!
