Could a claw catch up a ship?

Recommended Posts

It is really exciting to grasp an asteroid, but earlier today I left a ship on orbit without any fuel. Then I built a 'clawer' to catch it up, but the problem is that I cannot target the ship! Was it just a bug or we cannot use a claw to catch up our own ships?

You should be able to rendezvous with a ship regardless of whether or not it has a claw on it. If you can't target it then you have more than just difficulties with the Advanced Grabbing Unit and you've probably either broken the target in some way, failed to click on it to target it correctly, or you've encountered a bug.

As for using the claw to rescue ships, you can do that. Perfect for clearing debris and rescuing Kerbals stranded by asteroid-based Kraken attacks :D
