Have you ever thought "ROVEMATE Y U USELESS!?". You have? Good,you came to the right place! I had a thought popup into my head "Rovemates are so useless by themselves. Why not make better ones?". I did just that.

You can now have Liquid fuel and Oxidizer in your rovemates! Want to jump the VAB? Sure!

In v1.3+ all Better RoveMate bodies have probe control. No need for those pesky probe bodies!

v1.5 Brings Probe control and more electricity to the stock RoveMate!

1.7.5 Brings more attachment nodes for the rovemates courtesy of user Gaiiden

I did my best to try to balance the mass and the amount of resources in them. If you want me to change something,tell me!

-Holds 150 Electric Charge and Generates Electricity @3.5 Per second

All bodies now have command control to them, No need for probe bodies!

1. Manned RoveMate(One of the unfinished, windowless stock IVAs, like the Mk2 cockpit might work.)

2. Longer rovemate

3. wider rovemate

4. combo of both 2 & 3

5. Rovemate with a slot for a small engine on the back.

all I can think of. Remember, suggestions, not demands.

It should work with my mod, I may try it out later today.

Parts:If I knew how to model parts then I would add different sized mates. If anyone wants to help,thats fine with me :D

Engine: Slot as in an attachment node?

How about when the nuclear rover body is in use that the rover 'overheats' as the amount of power being used at one time increases? More power = more heat

First the "nuclear powered" one should be a nuclear decay thermoelectric. (You aren't going to fit a full nuclear reactor in a rover, no matter how tiny.) It should have either a heat sink-ridges on the surface or a perforated surface because of this. (I recommend the perforated surface.) This can be implemented with parallax maps, or normal maps, so long as the surface details aren't too deep.

Second, I agree on making one with more battery capacity than the stock one and a built in probe core.

Additional things to throw in are science storage and a wielded on pilot's seat.

I agree on the Nuclear change. I most likely won't do the heatsinks since I don't have experience with modeling. Perforated surface, I may/may not do this,I'm not the greatest texture creating person( :P ).

I'm currently working on the Welded pilots seat, I'm running into a few bugs with this. The part icon is misplaced in the part box,don't know why yet.

Battery capacity and probe core for the stock rover(via module manager) will come soon as well.

Science storage as in an operable cargo bay type thing?

Hi guys!

Sorry for not updating or posting anything for the past few days,I've been sick ;.; . But! I've been working on something special!

Nuclear Rovemate is now called "Thermo Electric Rovemate"(This may break .crafts,sorry :/) and a better texture for it as well, Bigger Rovemates(2m! 3m?!?! 4m!?!??! Who knows! soonâ„¢)

Yes.

That last one may be hard to do without an invisible engine that produces no thrust or a plugin.

This mod is absolutely a great idea! I'd like to have a rovemate with a kethane drill and/or a small kethane storage, is that possible?

EDIT: maybe a lower-res texture download?

Yes! Those 2 mates are both possible, wouldn't it be easier to add the drill yourself? :P I will start the work on the small kethane storage soon.

I was just about to suggest that actually! Also perhaps make all of them controllable aka, no need for a probe part?

In v1.3+ all Better RoveMate bodies have probe control. The stock rovemate also is controllable+extra electricity.
