What extra-curricular activities have you used the klaw for? I just finished a Mun SCIENCE base + SCIENCE rover. the bottom of the base has Klaws to grab the rover and scrub the goo/bay for reuse: http://imgur.com/a/GGxWd

I found this generally easier than trying to dock a rover.

One of my long-held design principles has been: Put a docking port on everything, you never know when you'll need it. The claw is making me think that might be wasted mass now, as I can always send a claw-equipped rescue mission if it becomes necessary.

I've not used it yet, but I redesigned my small orbital tug to use the Claw instead of a docking port. It'll be nice to be able to:

a) Grab a ship that itself has a docking port, and then dock that ship to my station.

Grab something without a docking port (debris, for example) to bring it to my station for recycling with the ELP recycle bins.

c) Grab the side of my space station when it's not needed, freeing up a docking port for incoming ships and for much easier storage of the tug.

My stations hold docking adapters that the 'tractors' can pick up if they need more/different size ports. I have now added claw adapters to the stations as well in case the tractors need to grab something that was never intended to be recovered.

Tiny rcs pods for salvaging debris for survivors/scrap and as a docking port replacement(at least with small ships)

Grabing then pushing debries into a low enough orbit that the debries will burn up. To if you want more stability while turning your E-Class roid.... Add 2 more claws and make a triangle.
