What you've learned from KSP

Okay so what have you learned from KSP? Like not in game but have you learned things outside the game? Like have you learned anything about orbital mech, or space flight, or anything about space in general?

I knew virtually nothing about orbital mechanics or space flight before KSP. Except for real simple stuff like "fire comes out the back, rocket accelerates".

I learnt that you won't go to Saturn if you fart in space (you will if you time it right/are at a sufficently high altitude/are already headed to Saturn and you are making a course correction)

For me, personally, it's not just about the fact that explosions are cool, and the Kraken will kill you.

I've learned that failure is the way to move forward.

Sometimes your plane might disintegrate, your staging causes a terrific explosion, or the lack of solar arrays kill your probes, but what do you do after that? You go right back into the VAB or the Hangar and you fix it. And you launch again. That's what I've learned, and I just know that that is what's gonna help in life.

Who says video games don't teach you anything? KSP does!
