What are you doing currently with asteroids?

I've been trying to learn how to very precisely point them at places... I have a kerbal that I don't like very much, and I think, he needs to be squished at several km/s, on the Mun with a near perpendicular hit.

Being the evil genius that I am, I managed to grab a decent sized one and nudge it into Kerbin orbit (just), then refueller the pusher, and demanded 100 billion kerbollars or I'd land it on the KSC,

Sadly my plan had a flaw when the asteroid landed at the south pole.

Hey ho, back to the lair under the volcano

And that was my first ARM mission..... (cue evil laughter) 04d44f23.gif

Applying copious amounts of 'Preparation A'....

Seriously, I grabbed a 'C' class and put it in orbit around the Mun, just to prove I could do it.

I then resumed work on my Laythe mission. I have never been successful getting to Jool, (Duna, Eve flyby, a few moons...) But I imported my subassemblies and picked up on my 0.23 WIP Joolian mission. It is still in the design phase. Main rocket built (but untested) and currently working on my atmospheric lander and the four satellites that it will carry. (Sandbox mode, waiting to start a new career when 0.24 comes out with contracts. Career just seems a tad flat right now...)

The lander and rover will be reusable on non-atmospheric moons after it drops it heatshielding, so both will carry several days worth of O2,food, and water. trying to do a 'grand tour' of the Joolian system.

'Splosions are the sprinkles on your ice cream sundae....Jeb :cool::confused:

Unfortunately, I didn't take screenshots of my ARM mission, I recorded it with Litecam, unfortunately, I did something wrong and it didn't save....first time trying to record any game...Meh, live and learn. :(

honestly i am still trying to enjoy career mode before trying to play with asteroids XD

I was doing the same but then I thought about all the potential science to be obtained to help unlock tech. You don´t need the claw to collect samples, I don´t think. It also makes a good challenge when you don´t have the super-heavy lift equipment unlocked.

Hint: you can take a unique sample in each SOI and high/low.
