More things to do to your rocket via EVA

I want more things to do via EVA, like for example...

I want to replace a solar panel with a one that generates better electricity (or replace a broken panel), so I put it in my rocket and dock, then EVA to the solar panel, and start to repair or replace it.

And etcetra.

I think repairing damaged solar panels and landing gear via EVA is already implemented. I never use it, my landings are either soft enough not to damage anything or hard enough that solar panels and landing gear are the least of my worries.

Indeed you are. Many a ship has been saved by getting close with a doner craft and transferring over solar panels that some stupid guy forgot to put on in the first place.

Not just repairing, but adding things too. And removing. Let's say I think that some parts of my space station (let's say...some struts) are un neccessary at a point, so I want to EVA and remove them.

Or I think my orbiting vessel is in danger of coming back to earth and it has no fuel, so I want to EVA and add some parachutes to it.

I feel this is one of those mods that would make a lot of sense within the stock game. The Dev's have even said they wanted to check it out, hopefully so they can implement at least something like it.

Would be interesting at some point for the kerbals to be able to reallocate fuel ducts, or even conduct a refuel from 2 separate sources using a fuel duct or similar, inland.

Solar panels either don't break or shatter into a million pieces. Maybe if the base and servos were preserved you could put on ne photovoltaic panels?

I think that since the photo-voltaic panels are the crucial component, you might as well replace the whole thing.

No, they get unlocked gradually like any other mod. But the functionality, like grabbing things, is obviously available from the start. Pipes are in Fuel Systems (same node as stock fuel lines) and all the other parts are KAS-specific i.e. have no stock analogue.
