Add infinite electrical charge to Alt-F12 debug menu

Recommended Posts

I hope you realise the debug menu wasn't included for players... it was included solely because a) the devs find it useful for bug testing, and B) the QA and experimental teams probably find it useful for bug testing. It's not, as far as I am aware, supposed to be of any actual gameplay use.

Sounds an awful lot like the Alt+F5 "quicksave as" dev debug tool that they left in that turned out to be super awesomely useful to players.

It like they said "Oh hey, you know these really good tools that we use for bug testing and everything? Yeah, how about we don't tell the people playing our early access alpha game, there's no reason they'd need to know about something that helps with identifying and reproducing bugs"

will it be removed in the final version so people can stop cliping things unrealisticly?

  1. How is that a problem
  2. Why do you care
  3. Why penalize everyone who uses it to boost their creativity or to simply create bether aesthetics (i.e. me)

I simply don't seem many reasons why.

Huh, didn't realize Infinite Fuel covered electrical charge, too. BRB, have to go wash some egg off my face.

Ha!

They better not remove Alt - F12 until they fix that stupid symmetry glitch; I hate it when I'm building a plane and it will only let me place a jet engine on one side... The whole plane has been built with 2x symmetry, but it doesn't like the engines... or sometimes wings :/ . Currently turning clipping on in the only reliable way of fixing this...

I do this, too. Sometimes, a symmetry pair can be placed if you approach the node from one direction and can't if you approach from another. Infuriating!

Yeah, that works, so does rotating them around and back (for some reason). That only works sometimes though (well, for me); so I've just resorted to turning clipping on to start with to place them. Annoying glitch!

Oh, and we won't release it to everyone at the same time either.

Were you around when they used to release it to the whole community at once? Honest question, I don't remember when the change was made. I do remember why, though. The forums, especially the Support & Bugs section, would go nuts. The way they do it now is almost a necessity, even if it means we have to wait a bit longer for release.
