The Debris Series [Now Taking Requests!]

@BriXman. I think it is kind of rude to post something that is not sooo related to this.

I previousley stated that he inspired me to start drawing stuff again, and so I did, and I wanted to show my result. But what do you mean it's not related to this?

Hi, love your sketches, can you take a request from me?

Here a pic form a lander i was testing a while ago. Upon landing on Laythe at 5m/s all the joints fell apart

That looks rather painful. I'm sorry for your craft. I'd be happy to draw the debris though, just give me a second to add your request to the list.

I just wanted to say that I've started drawing a little bit! You can find all my drawings (only one so far, might do more later on) here.

I'm actually fine with people posting promotional ads here, as I'm one of the biggest fans of the KSP art community. I only ask that you start a thread for your artwork, instead of posting it on my thread. It would be a little awkward to have two or three people posting artwork on this thread. :)

Working on SelectHalfling0's artwork now, though not far enough along to give a progress picture. I kinda like it so far though.

I still don't think that it's time for a progress picture, but here's one anyway. The general scene is laid out, and I'm just beginning refining the lines and shading. Please pardon the bizarre overexposure, the image looks a bit nicer than this in person. :P

More later. Sorry for the absolutely miniscule amount of work I've put into this so far, I've been ridiculously busy IRL. Refreshing KSP every five minutes to see whether 0.24 is out isn't helping either.

It will get done!!

Hi-diddly-ho, Neighborinos! I'm back.

I'm not sure whether I should consider SelectHalfling's drawing done. On one hand, it's pretty decent, but on the other, something inside of me is chanting, "Shade it more! Shade it more!" and I can't seem to turn it off.

Probably going to consider this artwork unfinished, at any rate. Looking at it closely, there are still plenty of things to do. :P

Sorry about the delay in artwork, by the way. I've been quite busy lately, not only playing 0.24 but in real life as well. I'll hopefully be able to make drawings at a faster rate in the future.

Are you able to draw mod parts?

...

The foreground is not that shaded.

Yes, I am able to draw modded parts, provided that the image that you give me has the modded parts in it. (If I was to try to draw something from, say, FAR, I would be able to draw it only if someone gave me an image of a craft with those parts.)

I will shade the foreground a bit more (subtle shading is completely lost on my scanner, and I keep forgetting that it won't show). Also-

The picture looks awesome! I think I know what you mean by its missing something, maybe a lack of stars in the sky.

Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I'll probably put some stars in the sky. It looks a little empty up there.

Also, a bit more shading with pen is needed. Especially on the debris itself. The fact that the rocks are more clearly defined than the spacecraft isn't great.

I'm currently away from my home computer and this drawing, but I'll probably have it done by the end of the weekend.

See ya then.

DP - This is the greatest thing since sliced bread, do i have permission to post it on tumblr?

Sure, as long as you put something like "Created by UpsilonAerospace" on there (I know that you almost certainly wouldn't e-plagiarize but I'm just making sure). Also, can you include the Tumblr link? That would be most wonderful :)

I'm glad that you like Is Crem. I'm certainly going to make more drawings of the bizarre, perpetually happy Crem.

Also, I would be happy to draw your debris. It might take a little while to draw it (there's a small waiting list) but I'll definitely get to it. Thanks for submitting a drawing.

Any progress on new drawings?

To be honest, no. I just finished my summer semester at college (wish me luck as the professor grades the final papers!) so I haven't been able to draw anything.

I'll probably put the final touches on SelectHalfling0's drawing over the weekend, though I shan't make any guarantees. After that, it's on to Joshwoo69. I will get done with everything, even if I'm moving at the speed of Congress.

At long, long, long last, I think it's done.

Here's the completed image, unless SelectHalfling0 wants me to add something on there.

Thanks for sticking with me, guys! I'll try to crank out a few more drawings this week. If you have any suggestions for drawing, now's as good a time as any. Just be sure you send in a picture. :)

I'm just going to leave this here... This is Thromgord, the Viking Warlord. He's invincible! He's terrifying! He loves mead! Oh, and I named a VTOL after him, which you can see here. It's really cool.

Anyways.

Joshwoo69? I don't know where your image is, now. I tried to check on the Dropbox file that you gave, and it had mysteriously disappeared. Is there any way to reupload the picture?

In the meantime, I think that I'll work on Kookoo_gr's request. Laythe, here we come!

Hey! I don't know if you're still taking requests, but I really like the idea behind this series and I thought I'd toss my own idea into the mix. A while back I ran a Mun mission that ended with two kerbals stranded, and I had to rescue them. It was a fun mission and I made a blog post about it. However, I always found it peculiar how the debris left behind told the story of what happened. The final picture in that posting really says it all. If you're looking for inspiration, look at the last picture in this post:

Thanks! Can't wait to see your next piece. :)
