Does the CLAW have 2- or 3-axis gimbal/rotation

It is possible to create cargo bays and such using the Klaw part.

With respect to the part it is attached to, the claw joint can yaw and pitch, but not roll. (No U-joints. )

It can move in any way apart from outward/inward, and it cannot rotate. No helicopter rotors for you :c

I think you can. It'd be tough, but probably possible. You just wouldn't be able to rotate it. You can put things from horizontal to vertical and vice versa however.
