extend ladder

I have spaceship assembled in VAB and want to extend ladder, I right click part and left click blue bar, nothing happens; what am I doing wrong ??

You may be clicking too fast, slow your click down and try again.

I've seen an occasional bug in which the ladder will not appear in the extended state in the VAB, though it works on your actual ships.

I've also had it so it is stuck extended in the VAB no matter what I do. I extend it to make sure it reaches the ground, and then it's in perma-extend mode no matter how many times I click retract in the VAB. And when I go to launch...yep, extended.

There is a bug in the VAB/SPH for the tweakable portion of the ladders.

You can only extend/retract the ladders the when you place them. If the option is gone, you can get it back by deleting the ladder and placing a new one.

Yup, I've encountered this bug before. Bit annoying, but generally not too hard to replace the ladder.

Yeah I usually cant retract ladders in the VAB.
