Allowing it to change the color of the nav ball

Recommended Posts

Hi Kids,

I sometimes, when I have to do some very precise maneuvers I sometimes can't see the purple maneuver notes on the brown hemisphere very well, so a small suggestion would be to allow it to change the color of the navball (of course with a small "Reset colors" button next to it in case somebody's confused.

On my quick search I didn't found anything like this, or did I search wrong?

Thanks for reading

First, it's good that there is a mod that allows to change navball texture.

However, what I think would help more and should be in core game instead (or before), is a function to temporarily enlarge the navball.

And then, of course, there is that phase when you realize that you don't need to set up your maneuver up to mm/s precision and perform your burn following it exactly because if you do you will be sent to a different place than where you intended to go anyway and it's actually better to kill the maneuver some time before the burn is complete and just watch what the trajectory does in map view, applying corrections interactively with RCS.

I don't think it let's you switch back and forth in game , though.

It is possible to reload the textures via the debug menu, as the author helpfully pointed out. You'll still have to go to the space center and wait for a long time, so while that's still technically "in game", it's probably not what Metro wanted.
