Portable version of KSP?

Recommended Posts

Of course what I mean is, a version of the program you can slap on a USB Drive and take to another computer. Is the program already inheritly 'portable', or will it need some directory ajustments? Or is it not even possible? Or am naive to the fact that there already is one? Thanks :)

Welcome to the forums! :)

Once you have the game directory downloaded onto your hard drive, you can copy it to and run it from anywhere you wish, provided you have the space to hold it (~500 MB or so, last I checked my own folder). It should be entirely possible to run a copy from a USB drive if the drive itself can actually hold the game.

Yeah I see its already been answered but yeah you can just plain move it to wherever you want it stored. - I have no clue how it works for steam though. In the past I've found that games bought on steam cannot run without steam connection and cannot be removed. Is this the case with KSP?

KSP steam file is identical to the KSP non steam file.

You can simply copy the file out of your steam folder and put it somewhere else and it'll work
