Joystick issues... AGAIN

I've got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and the axes have stopped working. The buttons all work fine in-game. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I used to get this. I think restarting KSP and unplugging/replugging joystick used to work so I attributed it to dodgy USB joystick support on my iMac. The axes on my 3D pro were twitchy and worn so I 'solved' it by getting a new joystick.

I've never had to do that IIRC, but I'll give it a go.
