Possibly the smallest rover in ksp (stock)?

Recommended Posts

Ok, now I have to prove you wrong...in my head, i can envision a rover with a part count of 8,

4 wheels

1 1x1 panel for chassis

1 probe core

1 battery

1 solar panel

Gimme a few minutes to see what the weight will be (KSP takes forever to load on this laptop)

MJ, great little buggy!

This could be a whole new design contest!

ok, I failed at the part count, but I think i won with the weight.

Packaged in a 1x1 box, with a total mass of .6 tons.

Probe Core

1x6 Solar panel

battery

3 wheels

2 Cubic Struts (one for front chassis, one for box mount at rear)

1 Light (the probe has to do something, doesn't it?)

.209 tons deployed, with 9 parts.

Here's The Smallest Rover that I Have Made in KSP: The Picorove B.

.28 tons, and has eighteen parts (most of which are massless). I could decrease the part count to nine parts (eliminating science equipment and the like) but I really don't feel like I have to.

One octocore probe

One small wheel, flipped around so it's inside the probecore and so it is in the middle (kind of)

one solar panel on the probe.

(saw this design on Reddit a long time ago)

Bet you to it.

(1 wheel,1 tiny core,1 static panel)

Not sure if it would work, but I remember reading something about a three-part-rover.

If it is indeed a valid design, you could launch 100 of them in a swarm.

EDIT: Oopsie, seems someone else posted it before. Maybe it was Spartwo that made it...

If you wanted to get really technical about it, you could do the unirover without the solar panel. 2 parts. Nobody said how long it had to last...

To the VAB on half a charge. I'm sure it can be done better, but it works.
