Beale
Perhaps someone can help me?Is not possible to use more than one MODEL_MULTI_PARTICLE in an engine?I ask because the main effect will not show.Here is my setup.See only vernierTransform display effect.EFFECTS{ running_closed { AUDIO { channel = Ship clip = sound_rocket_hard volume = 0.0 0.0 volume = 3.0 3.0 pitch = 0.0 0.2 pitch = 1.0 1.0 loop = true } MODEL_MULTI_PARTICLE { modelName = Squad/FX/shockExhaust_blue transformName = thrustTransform emission = 0.0 0.0 emission = 0.05 0.0 emission = 0.075 0.25 emission = 1.0 1.25 speed = 0.0 0.5 speed = 1.0 1.2 } MODEL_MULTI_PARTICLE { modelName = Squad/FX/LES_Thruster transformName = vernierTransform emission = 0.0 0.0 emission = 0.05 0.0 emission = 0.075 0.25 emission = 1.0 1.25 speed = 0.0 0.5 speed = 1.0 1.2 } } engage { AUDIO { channel = Ship clip = sound_vent_soft volume = 1.0 pitch = 2.0 loop = false } } flameout { PREFAB_PARTICLE { prefabName = fx_exhaustSparks_flameout_2 transformName = thrustTransform oneShot = true } AUDIO { channel = Ship clip = sound_explosion_low volume = 1.0 pitch = 2.0 loop = false } }}Sorry my usual grammar checking is not working Edited September 22, 2014 by Beale
Reddragon
Perhaps someone can help me?Is not possible to use more than one MODEL_MULTI_PARTICLE in an engine?I think you should try to add it as another effect to separate it from the vernier's. I'm no expert of course but perhaps it could work.

Guest
I say, separate the verniers from the stage. That's the best way to go about it.

Guest
The 2-3 interstage isn't a truss, the second stage has retrorockets, and the 3rd one ullages (IIRC) using it's verniers.

But its difficult to source loopable clips The 2-3 interstage isn't a truss, the second stage has retrorockets, and the 3rd one ullages (IIRC) using it's verniers.Remember, this isn't an exact replica! biohazard15
I LOVE this rocket! Any hints on release date and stats? The 2-3 interstage isn't a truss, the second stage has retrorockets, and the 3rd one ullages (IIRC) using it's verniers.Proton doesn't have ullage motors; instead, second and third stages' engines are fired seconds before stage separation, and separation itself happens when 2nd (3rd) stage engine thrust is equal of that of 1st (2nd). But they do have retrorockets.
Guest
No, the 3rd stage does not use hot-staging. I don't know where you've got that idea (you can't have hot staging with a solid interstage). The second stage, yes, but the 3rd on first fires it's verniers (which are pressure-fed at that point), then the main engine.

There was a bug in some Mac users where the panels would revert to 3 rather than 4.O das good. Will the Proton have an optional fourth stage like the irl Proton has with the Briz-M stage?Looking into it!As I remember that blue effect has offset problems. A rough benchmark is around 25tons to 500km orbit. The two stage version can get around 10tons to the same orbit. The textures are pretty conservative, so low memory usage. All are 512x512 (128x128 for emissives)Release date - 2-3 days Edited September 23, 2014 by Beale
Niemand303
Release date - 2-3 days YAAAAY! Can't wait to try the Proton I needed for my historical launches!if only I will make KSP work normally on my laptop.

Using the latest version here.Yep!This is kinda worrying.I've exported multiple times from Unity, but this Mac bug persists.I develop often on a Mac, but my main KSP install is on Windows.Really have no idea how it persists... On another note, I absolutely adore how it looks like those two Tantares crafts are flying in formation around the station .Edit: quick look at the Solar panel directory and it is just... weird.Erm, I'll try and fix. Jaybtlr
Is it due to the difference between the (old) static and (modern) tracking panels beale? perhaps something's sharing between the two parts?
Niemand303
Sometimes KSP when parsing files opens the first found model, so yes, Beale, it was that you had both model in the same folder maters (i had a similar problem when tried to put all my shuttle parts in one folder). Removing old model will help.

I must admit I was a bit tempted to go find that old "Burn Together" mod when I saw that (I had only just undocked the two and turned them both to face prograde), but just docked them up nose to nose and burned as a single ship instead.
