Also I forgot there are the RCS jets, the capsule has near 0 torque, so they are needed.

Does the collider box to stretch like that?

Not great is it?

The collider is auto generated by the mesh, so it is as "tall" as the ridges.

How do you manage the colliders on your solar panel models? It could be a help :)

I really dig the stock comparable (actually it is better than stock I just mean it fits better along side it) look and you apture the needed details.

I put in fake colliders that telescope out when it unfolds. or give every other panel a box.

THAT'S JUST GETTING INTO AWESOMELAND ON BOARD OF A KSP ROCKET! Really cool! After release I gonna try the career mode, I've only played it in .23.

Love it!! I know you aren't about 100% accuracy but isn't one of the key points of the Vostok capsule that the astronaut ejected out and parachuted down sans capsule? There are plugins that make this possible. Would you consider that?

Tried a Vostok style mission with Vanguard parachutes. Jeb bailed out at about 15,000 m. Quite a bit different than my traditional reentry. Fun!

Makes the idea of a manned ATV seem pretty cool.

There is also Sea Of Tranquility City W.I.P. for Planetes fans (Okay this one is out of nowhere and unrelated to Tantares).

I totally understand I was just curious, to be honest I already you know about your aversion to using "required" plugins. I was curious as to if you were going to make your own plugin which would have been above and beyond epic. But I know that might be a little too much especially since its purpose would have only been for one rocket. Anyway like I said its really nice and I look forward to it. Good Luck.

Please, never ever introduce any dependencies.

There is some solid-built plugins that could withstand many updates, like SelectRoot. And then there is KSP API Exstensions, which is literally made from glass and breaks every time, breaking all dependent mods in process.

And please, if it ever comes to your own plugin, don't use "Compatibility Checker" thingie... There was (and is) a mod, called Kerbal NRAP. It worked (and works) fine, until stupid_chris implemented said Checker. Now stupid_chris temporarily retired from modding, NRAP spams "This is not the version I'm looking for!" message during load, and there is no one to fix it. Know what's funny? If you'll get an old version, it will work fine with 0.25 - and without any nagging. Sure, it's harmless - but it still annoying.

I would say, rather, make optional dependencies. This mod can benefit from a lot of different mods (Interstellar or LTech come to mind for station science). However, I agree that that is not everyone's cup of tea. Perhaps keep a group of mod manager files, for example, that can inject interoperability.

I'm thinking we shouldn't focus as much on the rockets as a lot of them can be built from other packs. The Energia can be built (pretty closely) using KW Rocketry.

He's got a point :) while I do wish every one of my rockets could have the amazing style and stock-feel as this pack, I sometimes take pride in assembling my own creation that wasn't a selection of parts MADE for a specific thing :) which is why packs with modularity (KW, FASA, NovaPunch, B9) are so popular. So if anything, I would propose that modular parts that are stock-alike and of this style would be the best.

But let's not throw too many ideas at Beale as he's already been pumping out project after project, we certainly don't wanna overwhelm him.

Interesting idea! Here's what I came up with mashing the mods in the other direction. Quite snazzy looking if you ask me.
