The Alnair seems pretty finished, I don't know what you have to do with the progress yet(maybe a black alt tex), and are the docking ports finished yet? I saw something about IVAs for them, what does that mean?

Speaking of libra, When is that ever gonna get an update? That poor thing's been neglected.

Few .cfg files need tweaking, few textures need cleaning up. But that's it.

Docking port IVA is the cat-5 interior.

The poor Libra is due an update, its true. :( But so is the Vega and The Spica. I have a soft spot for the LK, but its tricky deciding what's first in line.

OoOooOo.. The parts have a specular map... Rebooting to Windows and gonna play in Photoshop.. :)

I was thinking the opposite..

Full white alpha

Add some texturing to mimic the insulation on the outside of the real one

Subtle wrinkles to complete the illusion

In a Kerbal way of course. Only so much I can do just manipulating textures..

Full white alpha

Add some texturing to mimic the insulation on the outside of the real one

Subtle wrinkles to complete the illusion

In a Kerbal way of course. Only so much I can do just manipulating textures..

Very nice, I wish I could "tinker" like that haha, I can make models and do everything else but my texturing is crap.

I'm the opposite.. I'm completely comfortable around Photoshop but get me in front of a 3D modeling tool and I'm like grandmom trying to install Linux. :)

I even go completely out of my way to make the textures look un-manipulated like they came right from the developer themselves.. I'm OCD about textures..

Bit of an odd question here, but would you ever be willing to texture a model?? I can provide a good UV Map.

I'm willing to try anything. I just don't promise anything. :) Playing with textures is a hobby of mine and I'm always dabbling in something.

I even started retexturing SQUAD engines a few days ago.

Haha understandable, ya I'm kinda in the same place I mess around and end up making something that is nice and I want to release but then the texturing is just to bad lol.

Very nice! If I had the time to do a proper thermal blanket mesh I would, but this is pretty convincing!

If you want the .PSD files with layers for any of the parts, just give me a PM!

Hi!

Up next is a refresh of the Salyut parts, combine this with TKS + some extra parts and you have a good basis for MIR.

MIR specific parts are on the cards.

For ISRO, I made a cockpit a long time ago (one of my first attempts at modelling), but it was kinda crap.

Not sure if I'd attempt it again.

Its a manned capsule proposed for use by the indian space research organization

Well, that could possibly make sense, cause their's is going to be based off the soyuz like the shenzhou if I can remember correctly. But I think it's too wide. But that doesn't really matter, considering he isn't using that for anything.

Tantares Version 4.0 Release!

Happy to say it's out!

New release contains Progress and the TKS.

Out of the box, this mod supports RemoteTech2, KAS, deadly re-entry and Raster Prop Monitor!

Also alternate textures are available for all craft!

I relegated some of the older craft into a separate download and GameData folder, they will be gradually updated to the new standard. I've balanced costs and weights, etc. for career mode, so they are still usable for now.

These craft have support for deadly re-entry out of the box.

These are:

  • Vega
  • Spica
  • Libra
  • Polaris

Please enjoy the TKS and let me know if there are any issues.

I'll be on hiatus for a week, but I'll check the forums when I can!
