theend3r
Currently if a kerbal dies he just disapperas leaving no traces as if he'd never existed. Because of this I overuse quicksaves and never let them die. I suggest dying kerbals would leave behind a small "mound" which could be then transformed by an eva kerbal into a gravestone not unlike those in the Worms series. The system would be similar/identical to planting flags, so it shouldn't prove too difficult to do. Even better if something like The Final Frontier mod is ever officially implemented, the gravestones could display additional information like rank or service history. It'd be a bit more difficult to do this in space, maybe creating a new craft shaped like an empty eva suit? Either way this would finally add some weight to kerbal lives.
Vindelle_Sunveam
Actually, kerbals "missing in action" always find a way back to the roster. It takes a bit of time, and you are not told. You don't wan't to know how.
sumghai
According to the What Not To Suggest sticky thread, Kerbal graves and cemeteries will not be part of the game -at the very least, not the first full version.
UbioZur
As sumghai said, this is part of the What not to suggest stickie to avoid clustering the forum and keep new suggestion visible. So I am locking the thread.
