Falcon 9R Landing Software?

So I was looking at the kOS mod, and I was wondering.... Has anyone created a program for soft-landing the first stage of their rocket, Falcon 9R-style? Or would anyone be up for the challenge? I'm going to attempt it, but I'm certainly not the best so I was wondering if any of you pro's have done or attempted it. Or does the program stop running when it gets out of rendering distance?

Oh, that's really interesting!

I never used KOS, but for sure you have to use something that force your first stage to remain loaded and under physical simulation.

I don't remember the name, but such a plugin already exists.

Once the vessel is forced to remain loaded, the auto pilot would work even if you are not focusing it.

Thanks Plonio! I was thinking you would need a mod to force it to remain loaded... I'll keep trying with this, I'm sure with the new Career Updates it'll be a very useful thing to have!

Plonio that's awesome! I'm gonna go try this now! Thanks for that! I wonder if you could get the first stage to land, and then the payload to fly to orbit and then re-orbit and land itself all without touching a button O.o ....

EDIT: Oh nevermind... Can't get it anymore, it was uploaded on SpacePort. Damn, I wish they hadn't of moved it. Although I heard you can do the same thing with Lazor, so I'll keep trying.
