Kerbal space program or prison architect?

Recommended Posts

I have both KSP and Prison Architect and I can say hands down I get more enjoyment out of KSP.

Just checked my Steam Stats:

KSP = 203 hours played.

Prison Archtect = 23 hours played.

That help your decision?

(P.S. Prison Architect is a lot of fun - but it's more of a distraction, or session game, to me)

Prison Architect. Gets updates every month without fail, and doesn't get boring like KSP does. Also, wait for a Steam sale to buy either on unless you're desperate, you can save money that way.

Plus it's a LOT more stable (it's never crashed, unlike KSP, which crashes or freezes every 2 or 3 times I play...)

Javster, on my stock game install ive had crashes extremely rarely, the stock game itself is very stable. Mods and the number of them, can change that easy.

As far as the OP's question goes. I own both, and KSP would be my suggestion. Though they are both enjoyable , but totally different games, so really it depends on what you wanna do. Run a prison, or shoot up rockets :P

I got bored with Prison Architect. Once you build a prison enough times there's just not a lot to do and I wasn't able to find an endgame to it so it just sort of drags on and on. There really just isn't enough variety to building the prisons and the game gets too easy once you know what you're doing.

KSP just never gets old for me, and I've still only been exploring within Kerbin SOI. I mostly love building ships, landers, and rovers though, exploring with them is just icing on the cake.

I've played a couple hundred hours each in PA and KSP. If you're looking to build and manage, i.e. you like business sims and city-builders, then PA is the obvious choice. If you prefer rockets, then KSP. If you want to build and fly stuff in space, then Space Engineers.
