sirmatthew
Roger. Feeling fine, excellent spirits, ready to go.I'm new here in the forum, but i'm not so new in playing KSP and in orbital mechanics (i used to play Orbiter 2010).I love this game, and I love the emoticons in this forum! See you on Kerbol.
Specialist290
Welcome to the forums! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the game. Are there any particular missions you've done that stand out in your mind?
sirmatthew
Just one: i've managed to send in orbit a probe. Just this? Yes, but with the Realism Overhaul (and FERRAM and Real Solar System) it's not so simple...
Pecan
Getting into orbit is 'halfway to anywhere' and quite an achievement in itself :-)
sirmatthew
agree! with the "vanilla ksp" i've managed to get a probe on a low orbit on Dres (not returnig to kerbin), that's somthing like 7000/8000 delta-v. Well, with Real Solar Sistem and FERRAM i need 9000 delta-v just to get an orbit on Earth, and I need to design an aerodinamic rocket to do that! Kerbal01
I remember my first partially successful orbit attempt, using the novapunch heavy .craft that came bundled with the novapunch version for the early demo. Really shallow gravity turn, burned untill I had a periapsis (inside the atmosphere) and left it there.
