How will you prepare for 0.24?

I have a fleet of spaceplanes sitting on the ground. I've sent massive payloads of equipment to duna and Jool as well as setting up new stations around kerbin. My plans for tomorrow include sending up a few super massive fuel tankers, packs of parts, a new mothership(It's beautiful and huge!), and a class E asteroid maneuvering kit. I'm also organizing a lot of my ships and getting them docked to stations, pretty much getting everything in a good place. I have a new duna base waiting for deployment as well as a station, a crewed craft, and a duna ssto waiting to come together. I also have a Jool station docked to a bunch of ships and a base on laythe that need managing and resupplying so I'll have to make some tugs. My final preparation will be to make a bunch of super expensive things and to leave them on the surface to be recovered for funds.

I made and tested 3 FAR spaceplanes. A 1,25m cargobay with 10t max payload to 150x150km orbit, and a HL and MK4 cargobay with 40t max payload for 150x150 km orbit. And mobile cranes for loading these planes so that they will only get refueld using KAS, loaded with the cranes and off we go to orbit.

Backed up hard drive, erased windows partition, booted disk utility, created 400gb partition, allocated more than 3.5gb of ram, mounted backup drive, reinstalled partition, transferred everything, downloaded every song ever written by Barry Gray for my ingame playlist, bought 120 Tim-Tams, filled kettle, made ready the teabags, fluffed seat cushion, settled in for the wait.

I think I'm ready.

Since i have established that the Lazor mod's physics load range extender does not entire work as i expected, I am preparing by wondering whether it will be more economical to build ssto's (with or without wings) and recover the entire vehicle, or build (smaller, cheaper) staged vessels and recover only part of it.

I wish they never put in the science 'hack' in career. I play on DMP with mission controller with remote tech 2 and other. I can see other people 'cheating' as its damn hard. But I guess the only thing one can do to prepare is to back everything up.

Get as far away from KSP as possible.

There is still time to play other games before First Contract comes out.

And from what I have seen, it doesn't look all that hard, at least in the early game.

Good job doing that, spending time on the forums of Kerbal instead. You're not that far away, mate XD

I'm looking forward to the patch. I kind of want to complete my colonization of Laythe, but I'm not sure if I can be arsed. I want the resource management, it'll feel like a much more complete game... of course, I'm guessing I'll probably have to wait some time until the mods update before I can play with KAS, FAR and the like?

Not sure I'll do much to prepare...I've been playing more lately than in the past month, which is basically a waste of time as I plan on starting from scratch lol. I think though I'll be adding KSP interstellar to my list of mods, once they mods start being updated for 0.24.
