how to splash down things?

how to achieve >splashed down< doesn't sound to hard for me to splash something down ...

splashed down is "landed on water".

just land it in the water (with paracutes)

And activate it while being in water (using stage sequence aka Space button). Just landing with it in water isn't enough.

You can use a rover from the runway to do the test. Just remember that fully loaded SRBs will destroy the rover once you stage it, even after it's splashed down

A Stayputnik with two radical parachutes and pair of cheap batteries, the part to test, one small fuel can and engine to launch and get over the water. If set up right, you should be able to recover everything with few exceptions for the splashdown test.

I had to test a KFR x2 booster splashed down. That was a fun one. I had to build a booster with low fuel, put the booster I wanted to test on top of that upside down and empty, and put about twenty chutes on it plus a retro burn to keep it from blowing up when it hit the water. Fun times.
