Have you found any undocumented changes or features of 0.24?

Here's changelog. (same on a wiki)

One that I know about are changes to SLS. MiniMatt was kind enough to make a comparison:

The Advanced SAS module now has 100kg mass, down from 500kg, the regular stabiliser now masses at 120kg, down from 300kg.

Further the regular one has 8 "units" of twisty-spinnyness and the advanced has 15 (think they were both 15 before with the large 2.5m variant being at 20?)

What else did you found?

Any fixes to the easter eggs, or other stuff like that? Some non-obvious changes you'd want to highlight?

LV-909 afair wasn't 390 isp either?

Think the LV909's been at 390 vacuum ISP for a while but yep, definite skipper change.

The Poodle's also lost half a ton, going from 2.5 to 2.0 tons.

(Oh and correction to note about SAS-twistyness values - looks like both 1.25m variants used to have 20 units of spin)

For me, the portraits are more CCTV like (slow frame rate, possibly grainier, but very subtle) like how it used to be before ~.19-.20. Between then and .23.5 the portrait animations were very smooth.

In the changelog it says the old C7 radiator and nacelle now are intakes and small fuel tanks. But the changelog hides the fact that the radiator is now backwards to be more like an intake (this is stated in the part description basically :D). The radiator looks pretty cool.

This is awesome! I loved that part for its looks but never used it, because of lacking function... Glad, it has finally arrived in the game.

Found out we can spam transmisions that give no science points as well as get credit and money for contracts that just want data from x orbit around x planet / moon.

Edit: Yeah. A lot of the graphics looks a bit nicer on my pc too. Text is a bit easier to read as well.

Well they redid the GUI, that part was in the logs and would explain the text being easier to read. I believe they also said that they optimized the sky or something like that... maybe they said it was planet textures... something was optimized.

What I noticed is that timewarp is turning off my SAS. I know warp throttles down to 0 automatically, but I didn't see them mention changes to SAS.

Here one for you: go to the Space Center screen, then open the debug menu (Alt+F12) on the cheats page. Quickly tap and then press and hold left Alt (or whatever the modifier key is if you're not on Windows) for 5 seconds..... :)

Heres what squad said all of the contracts are about

Testing Parts: Perform a test of a part in a specific location, situation and within given flight parameters (when applicable).

Collecting Science: Return or transmit any scientific data from a specific location.

Kerbal rRescues: Rescue a Kerbal who is stuck in orbit.

Planting the Flag: Plant the Agency's flag on the surface of a given location.

Exploring the Solar System: Complete several exploration goals for an unreached location.

I'm wondering if the last one just means it keeps giving you missions to other planets after you complete missions to the others or if squad has added the "Discover new planets" feature... I could see them hiding a planet or tiny moon somewhere...

I was so suspicious that I tried this on an entirely different install than my career save. I'm very glad I did :(

I've noticed that this tends to happen under x64, whereas using the normal 32-bit executable results in the newer smooth animations.

The "To the Mun, Part 2" tutorial includes a lander with 200 units of fuel in an FL-200 tank, but contrary to my suspicions they did not rebalance the fuel mass ratios for the "real" game.

I've also noticed the aforementioned reduced framerate for the IVA portraits in the x64 version.

Sooo what, specifically, happens when you do the Alt thing?
